Children’s Bloomers - PDF Pattern
This sewing pattern is for children's bloomers, with seven different sizes (newborn through to 4 year old) and includes a step-by-step tutorial with photos to guide you at every step, making it easy for you. Comes with A4 and letter sized paper files to print. The files come with layers for each size, so you can print only the size you need to sew. The pattern is printed on 6 x pieces of paper. Tutorial is a separate document, that is optional to print. Professionally finished with double fold, elastic casings at waist and hems. They can also be sewn into shorts by omitting the hem elastic. The tutorial and pattern are suitable for a beginner sewing project. An overlocker/serger is required, but you could just use a sewing machine with a zig zag stitch to finish the edges of the seams off. Fabric required: Bloomers can be made with any woven fabric in light to mid weight, eg: Cotton lawn, quilting cotton, linen, etc. I prefer to use cotton lawn or quilting cottons as there are so many great prints available. Fabric Required in cm and (inches): Estimates are based on fabric width of 112cm (44”). Size - Fabric length Size 000 (0-3 months) - 39cm (15.25”) Size 00 (3-6 months) - 40cm (15.75”) Size 0 (6-12 months) - 41cm (16.25”) Size 1 (12-18 months) - 42cm (16.5”) Size 2 (18-24 months) - 43cm (17”) Size 3 (2-3 years) - 44cm (17.25”) Size 4 (3-4 years) - 45cm (17.75”) You will also need 2cm wide elastic for the waist and 1cm wide elastic for the hems. This would make a great project for baby shower gift, especially paired with a top knot headband pattern as shown, which is sold separately below.
