That little extra space is certainly worth the 2 little extra steps by sewing machine at the very end. Purse can have a built in bottom and and inner compartment attached to the lining. The back part is machine quilted separately (optional). Fully lined – no visible raw edges – zipper runs across the top. Attached in the hoop.
