This quick and easy in the hoop quilt Bow Tie Mini Quilt is just so much fun to make. The blocks are absolutely darling. You can have loads of fun picking out pieces of fabric or you can use precuts. The pieces are made and quilted in the hoop. The design has a low stitch count, so it stitches out really quickly. Stipple Quilting has been used to quilt this design. These blocks are such fun to make.
Our handy stitch charts have each step nicely laid out and labelled. Each step is explained in our instructions along with photos.
The IHQ Bow Tie Mini Quilt design comes in 4 sizes: 4x4, 5x5, 6x6 and 7x7. See PDF below for sizes and details.
The approximate finished size for the table runners are:
- 4x4 design: 18” x 18”
- 5x5 design: 22” x 22”
- 6x6 design: 26” x 26”
- 7x7 design: 30” x 30”
The finishing of the mini quilt is done by sewing machine. The pieces are sewn together, the borders are sewn on and then a backing fabric is added. A bit of hand sewing is required to close off the opening once the backing is put onto the mini quilt.
