Quilted Christmas Star Table Runner - 3 Sizes
The Quilted Christmas Star Table Runner is an easy project to make. Use Christmas print fabrics along with some plain fabrics to create this festive quilt. You can make this project any size you want. Just stitch out the extra pieces and you can make any length table runner or even a quilt. Just arrange the blocks the way you want for the project. For this table runner, fat quarters of fabric were used along with some strips of fabric for the border. You can make the border any width you want and will require some length. If you want, you can also use jelly roll strips of fabric for the border. This is a self-binding table runner. The backing fabric is used to create the binding all in one go. It is a super easy technique and one we just love. I will definitely be using this technique on more projects. Each block is made up of 4 hoopings. Any raw edges from the fabric placement is neatly finished off with satin stitch edgings or decorative edging stitching. No raw edges of fabric is visible. The quilting designs are part of the embroidery file and are stitched at the same time of each hooping. Once the pieces for the blocks are embroidered, they are then sewn together using a sewing machine. All finishing off of the quilt is done under the sewing machine. Designs are done for the 5x7, 6x10 and 8x8 hoops. Approximate finished size for the Quilted Christmas Star Table Runner: 5x7 design: 33” x 14.5” 6x10 design: 41” x 17” 8x8 design: 34.5” x 15”
