This Christmas stocking PDF sewing pattern is a perfect sewing project to liven up a child's Christmas (or adult). You can use your creativity to mix and match colours and fabric textures, or even use one fabric alone to create very personalised Christmas stockings. This would also be a great project to use upcycled fabric. You could add personalised names or initials by printing, embroidering or appliqué if you please. Options are endless if you let your creativity run wild.
This sewing pattern is a single sized Christmas stocking. It includes a step-by-step tutorial with illustrations to guide you at every step, making it easy for you.
This pattern is suitable for a beginner (overlocker/serger is required to finish one seam, but you can just use a sewing machine with a zig-zag stitch if you don't have access to one). The pattern comes with separate files in A4 & Letter sized paper to print. The tutorial is a separate document, that is optional to print.
Fabric required: This set can be made with any woven fabric, ideally in a mid-weight (Eg: quilting cotton, lightweight denim, cotton sateen, etc).
Total project uses 53cm (20 7/8") of main fabric, 53cm (20 7/8") of lining fabric, and 20cm (7 7/8") of contrast fabric.
This would make a great project for children's Christmas gifts.
