In The Hoop, Happy Face Daisy

The flowers are quick and easy to make. Cotton fabric is used for the backing. Fabric or felt is used for the top of the flower. Straight stitch outline is done entirely in the hoop. Then cut around the shapes 1/8" from the stitching, stack the flowers and sew/glue buttons, beads, rhinestones, Swarovski crystals, etc. as desired. Headbands, barrettes, pillows, etc. can be embellished with the three dimensional flowers. The flowers can be attached to clothing and fabric purses as a three dimensional applique. The round flower centers can be made with or without the faces. The happy face centers can be used by themselves to make jewelry, including pins, earrings book bag tags, etc. Step-by-step instructions to make the flowers are included on the Color Chart. Sample flowers are made from felt, cotton and satin/silk fabric.
